GIG Ltd and Scale42 are pleased to announce they are in advanced discussions for the creation of a joint venture focused on the development of integrated digital and energy infrastructure including sub-sea data cables and data centres.

Scale42, led by the founders of Hydrokraft (now Nscale — Europe’s largest hyperscaler), brings extensive experience in data centre development, with a proven track record and a pipeline exceeding one gigawatt across the Nordics. This includes the recently announced 100MW flagship project in Finland.

GIG is a leader in energy transmission and related infrastructure including the Atlantic Super Connection between Iceland and the UK.

This strategic partnership marks a major step toward delivering our shared vision of being a leader in integrated digital and energy infrastructure to support the growing demands for high-capacity, sustainable and connected AI infrastructure.
